Cavolo sembrerebbe proprio così...

pur non essendo io un assiduo frequentatore, se fosse così comunque mi dispiacerebbe parecchio...

era uno dei tracker più storici in circolazione.

Negli ultimi mesi aveva avuto problemi in effetti, pare sia proprio chiuso.

Comunque non disperiamo.


Anche se ultimamente (nell'ultimo anno e mezzo) non avevo approvato determinate decisioni, come la politica degli inviti e soprattutto la grande corsa agli import..

Con queste cose bisogna stare attenti.


Comunque è gestito da gente brava e ha moltissimi utenti, secondo me se non riescono a risolvere, risorgono in tempi brevi.

Torrent site Demonoid downed

POPULAR CANADIAN Bittorrent tracker site, Demonoid appears to have been shut down by the Canadian Recording Industry Association.
Both the tracker and the website have been unresponsive for nearly 24 hours. Here at the INQ that just means that we have had a server upgrade, but in Torrent land it is seen as being a sign of doom.
It seems that Demonoid’s Canadian ISP pulled the plug after being pressured by the CRIA. The ISP has told world plus dog that it will shut down the site if it receives any complaints.
According to TorrentFreak the server is still pinging but the ISP might have everything firewalled.
So far there has been no word from Deimos, the founder and the head admin of the site.
Demonoid has been walloped by the anti-piracy crowd before. It shifted its servers from the Netherlands to Canada in June after its ISP was served with legal threats.
In that case the anti-piracy crowd BREIN had asked the ISP to take Demonoid offline and hand over the administrator’s personal details.
It is fairly likely that we have not seen the last of Demonoid. We hear Russia is very pretty at this time of year. µ

Ultimamente non lo frequentavo più: aveva solo robaccia, però mi spiace molto ugualmente perchè era una pietra milgiare del bitorrent...

ma una domanda... quando chiudono i tracker come demonoid... ma con la lista degli iscritti... che ci fanno?!?!

In questo caso credo che abbiano costretto demonoid a chiudere, quindi ha chiuso e basta. La lista verrà cancellata come tutto il resto (credo)
Il vero problma è quando invece sequestrano il server che ospita il tracker (come nel caso di OiNK)... li c'è in rischio che la lista finisca in mani sbagliate...

ma le liste utenti di un tracker comprende anche l'indirizzo IP... ovviamente la ratio... magari quello che hai scaricato... chi ti ha invitato... insomma una marea di dati che... TI FOTTONO COME VOGLIONO!

Non ti preoccupare.
Poi con gli alimenti saranno ancora più a carico
Idiozie a parte, dalle quali faccio fatica ad esimermi, generalmente la marea di dati disponibili sugli utenti non viene utilizzata.
Ciò non toglie che al momento di un eventuale sequestro di traker tutti i dati sono comunque disponibili all'autorità che lo ha autorizzato.
Prevenire è meglio che curare...
